One of the thoughts I had today was about my friend in High School. He was the funniest person I've ever met. He enjoyed life, played the guitar in a local rock band and he was always making me laugh. He was the kind of person that everyone wanted to be around. One day we were in his room playing the guitar and I asked him, "Why are you so funny all the time?" "You seem to enjoy life more than anyone." The conversation got really serious. He said, "When I was eight years old my Mom died of cancer. Ever since then, I've thought that she would want me to be happy and enjoy life." He said, "She always told me to be myself, enjoy life and help others to laugh and enjoy life."

I'll never forget my friend. I learned from the High school reunion that he had become a Christian. It didn't surprise me that he found where the source of joy comes from. When life gets me down, I remember my friend and his Mom. I haven't experienced the loss that he has. My mom taught me to be myself and enjoy life, that's one thing I've tried to obey (one out of a million isn't bad is it? I want to enjoy life and make people laugh. Mom's are so cool. Thanks Mom!!!

Someone gave me a shirt for Christmas. It says, "So, what is the speed of dark?" The person who gave it to me explained, "the speed of dark is the same as the speed of light because the darkness runs from the light. If we have Jesus in our hearts then there is a light in us that causes darkness to run. I want to be like that city on a hill. It doesn't matter how big we think our light is because a little light in a dark world makes a big difference. Let's be a light to our community that needs the light of Jesus. We have to be that light with no strings attached, no agenda, total love and acceptence, wanting to do things the way Jesus did, hanging out with sinners, helping others without expecting anything in return.

Hidee Ho neighbors! I will try not to waste your time on this blog. So, here goes.... These are a few of my favorite things.....The Bible, coffee, guitars, people that don't care what anyone thinks about them (but God), jumping off cliffs into warm water, fast food (is it such a crime?), Charity, Danielle, Cody (not in that order), Captain Crunch, milk, non filtered smokes (the gum kind that you blow on and powder comes out).
